Getting Started

With years of experience in web site development and providing customer service we begin by consulting each prospect such as yourself about the kind of web site you want and what you want to accomplish.

Once we know what you want and you are satisfied we have the ability to get the project done we begin by finding a look for your site. Maybe you already have this information ready. If not it would be a good idea to research the internet regarding your industry and copy down their web site address to email us as a reference. You may send links referencing the way you want the web site lay out, another may show the style or the way it interacts with the user. These references though not mandatory may make it easier for you to describe precisely what you want.

Once it has been decided which way the web site will look and the way things will work we will submit a quote/contract for your approval that will need to be signed and returned with payment/deposit for the work to begin. Usually work is completed within 2 to 3 weeks. You can see what our contract looks like by clicking here

We have an informal way of dealing with people that have usually been referred or that are current clients where they usually leave everything within our hands and after discussing costs we send them an invoice and they send us a check to get started. This process is very informal and a general consultation will give you a feel for the way this may be handled.Of course if your project is very specific then we do not recommend this.

Most of our web sites are created on a framework where adding pages is a snap so we do not necessarily charge by the page. At the end of a project sometimes even during we will walk a client through the back-end so they may begin to get a feel for managing the site and maybe even begin to add their own pages and content. Yes it is why this service is liked by those that use it, the customer service is pretty good.

The Process

If you don't already have a domain name one needs to be registered. We can register one for you in your name if you're not familiar with the process. Registration documentation will be emailed to you upon registration.

If you do have a domain name you will need to change the nameserver information to point to our servers or you must provide us with the User ID (UID) and Passwrd (PWD)to change the information for you.

The next step is to configiure and set p the hosting service for your web site using your domain name information.

Programming

A web site is made up of different programming parts to make the site interactive for the users and they go by different names such as programs, scripts, modules, components and such.

Most people just want a particular type of site such as informational, a shopping cart, blog or forum and these can also be combined into one site.

I wont go much into the more complicated type of sites here because just having to read the description of so many may be tiring. But pretty much anything you want to do you can do with a web site from selling clothing items to changing the world. The internet is just going to keepon growing and so any service you can provide to help organize people and information and make things easier may be a benefit and a good idea.

Nowadays there are many excellent open source "free" programs that are as good and usually better supported than many programs that are sold. Obviously if they are free they get tested much more and more people using it means the program is continuously being improved and reported on. Some scripts such as a reservation system or a good affiliate system you can only purchase and these over the years have become more reasonably priced. Still the main work comes in putting these things together and the configuration and look to match what the client wants. Open Source is the reason you can now have a powerful site at a very reasonable price that 7 years ago might  have cost you a lot of money.

Internet Advertising

There are so many ways to advertise on the internet it would be difficult to cover it all here.

Most people I know with a service or product seem to have some success with Google Adwords maybe other means also but with this method and many others if you are not willing to pay someone to do this work or to learn how to do yourself then it is almost without reason to discuss. Still I believe there are some things that many people can do with a little effort to hel;p their site. Not that it will get you listed at the top but I really don't know who is reading this. If you have a product or service that is not so common getting to the top of search results naturally would be easier.

Your domain name should be registered for at least 2 years.
You should have good content on your site regarding the topic.
Your headers are better if they have in them phrases that are commonly searched regarding your topic.
Headers are like the title to paragraphs and in the code must use what is called the header tag. <h> at the beginning and </h> at the end.
Then really one of the best things is to have links pointing back to your site from other sites that may be even more popular than your own.

There are many ways to do this and services that help with these matters for a fee.

We create code and industry compliant web sites and the optimization is up to the content you place onour web site and the work you put into popularizing this.

I know of mortgage companies that send out emails. Well we all know of this. I know of people that add their advertising to craiglist directing prospects to their web sites for information or ordering.
